Voltarc, a world leader in the production of gas-discharge
specialty lamps, is a pioneer in the field of germicidal lamp technology;
Voltarc began designing and producing these lamps in the early 1960s.

Voltarc is responsible for the design and development of the very
first G64T5L lamp and the GPH287T5L for which today is the primary
lamp used in home, municipal water purification and wastewater treatment.

Voltarc was founded in 1927 to manufacture cold cathode electrodes
and glass tubing; today, Voltarc produces a wide range of gas discharge
specialty lamps to serve many markets. Since it’s beginnings in
germicide,it has consistently led the way in
germicidal lamp design innovation and
it’s commercialization.
